Refund
Policy.
Fair, transparent refund terms for our CHF 199 / month plan. 7 days free to evaluate, 14 days to change your mind after the first invoice, and clear rules after that. Read together with our Terms & Conditions.
1. Scope
This Refund Policy applies to CHF 199 / month subscriptions to the Acertix platform operated by Ambrella GmbH, Grafenaustrasse 13, 6300 Zug, Switzerland. It supplements — and is subordinate to — our Terms & Conditions.
2. 7-day free trial
New Clients may start a 7-day free trial. No payment is collected during the trial. The trial uses demonstration APIs and is intended for evaluation purposes only. If the trial is not cancelled before it ends, the paid subscription begins automatically at CHF 199 / month (VAT excluded).
3. 14-day money-back guarantee (first paid month)
If you are not satisfied with the Platform, you may request a full refund of your first paid month within 14 calendar days of the first invoice, provided that no more than three (3) chargeable compliance searches have been executed against production APIs during that period.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval. The guarantee applies once per Client entity.
4. Monthly subscriptions after the guarantee window
After the 14-day window, monthly subscription fees are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time from the billing area; cancellation stops the next renewal, and access continues until the end of the currently paid period.
We do not refund partial months, unused compliance searches, or downgrades taken mid-cycle. Unused searches do not roll over to the next billing period.
5. Annual plans (if offered)
Where an annual plan is offered and cancelled for cause (uncured material breach by Acertix as defined in the Terms & Conditions), Acertix will refund the pro rata portion for the unused full months, minus a 10 % administrative fee. Voluntary early termination of an annual plan without cause is non-refundable.
6. Add-ons, overages and third-party charges
One-time purchases, metered overages and third-party pass-through charges (for example additional identity verifications, extra compliance searches or EDD runs) are non-refundable once the corresponding upstream call has been executed on your behalf, as we have irrevocably paid the provider.
7. Chargebacks
Please contact billing@acertix.io before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer. Most billing questions can be resolved within a few business days. Unresolved payment disputes fall back to the governing law and jurisdiction clauses of the Terms & Conditions.
8. Service outages
Acertix operates on a commercially reasonable availability basis. In the event of a qualifying outage, remedies are limited to service credits (not cash refunds) as described in the availability commitment of the Terms & Conditions. Service credits are capped at one month's subscription fee per calendar month.
9. How to request a refund
Send an email to billing@acertix.io from the address of a registered account administrator, including:
- the invoice number,
- the reason for the request,
- the account or tenant name.
We will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and confirm whether the request qualifies under this Policy.
10. Fraud & abuse
Acertix reserves the right to refuse or reverse refunds where an account shows signs of abuse, chargeback fraud, sharing of credentials, circumvention of usage limits or any other material breach of the Terms & Conditions.
11. Statutory rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits mandatory rights that a Client may have under Swiss law, nor Acertix's liability under Art. 100 CO for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy on 30 days' notice by in-app notice and email to account administrators. The subscription cycle in progress at the time of the change continues under the terms in force when it started.
